Antique cranberry glass, like Victorian and Art Deco

 

The heyday of cranberry glass was roughly between 1870 and 1930, a period which covers both the Victorian era and the flowering of Art Deco. "Jugendstil", the latter is often called on the European mainland. Antique or vintage cranberry glass from these years can often be had for very reasonable, if not outright cheap, prices, among other reasons because eBay as an auction house never ceases to surprise the eager buyer. On the other hand, every now and then a masterpiece surfaces here: be sure to bid, because many pieces in this class appear on the market only once!
